Teresa Carreiro

Co-founder of Critical Manufacturing

Teresa Carreiro started as a software developer in 1994. She is one of the co-founders of Critical Manufacturing, which started in 2009. There, she started as a Scrum Master for the Product team and gradually moved on to creating and managing new teams and areas (including Quality, People Operations, and Operations). She is now heading the newly-created area of Subscription Business that will expand Critical Manufacturing’s products. An absolute fan of agile and self-regulated organizations, she does not miss an opportunity to be involved in organizational and social challenges. She was part of the organization of the Agile Portugal Conference for 6 years, she's been a supporter of Geek Girls Portugal since 2010, was the Vice-President of Porto Tech Hub for 3 years, and she's actively involved in national and international mentoring programs since last year.  Last year she co-cofounded the NGO EstouContigo! which is dedicated to creating synergies and improving the well-being of those around us.

This can also mean that we want more and better in terms of job role, we want to evolve.
But how should we give that extra step to a more fulfilling job?
How should we choose another career?
How can we evolve in our role within a company?
