Leadership is more than the idealized image of guiding teams to success—it involves tough decisions, emotional challenges, and balancing people and business goals. Women often face bias for showing emotions, but when managed well, emotions can strengthen leadership. I’ll discuss major leadership challenges such as imposter syndrome, leadership loneliness, and difficult conversations, sharing how I overcame them and introducing the concept of assertive empathy.
