The AI Revolution in Life Sciences is Happening Now

PBS Auditorium | Floor 0

Artificial intelligence is leading a new era of innovation, making drug discovery faster, more efficient and more accessible. Conversational AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude dominate the popular consciousness, but specialized applications of generative AI such as biological large language models (BioLLMs) are driving true breakthroughs, particularly in healthcare and life sciences. This presentation will first provide an overview of the existing landscape of BioLLMs and it will dive into how BioLLMs are being leveraged for AI-driven drug discovery for both predictive and generative use cases by focusing on applications such as variant effect prediction and drug-target interaction.
