Susana Brás
Susana Brás is a researcher at IEETA, University of Aveiro, committed to informatics. She possesses a multidisciplinary academic background with a degree in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences. Having dedicated her initial research efforts to understanding individuals and their reactions to society, particularly in the realm of affective computing. She is now equally interested in the environment surrounding individuals, aiming to study and adapt the context to enhance the quality of life. This scope brings her research into addressing challenges associated with class imbalance, noise, and missing values, all of which are actively explored by her team. Beyond academia, she is enthusiastic about science communication to the general audience.
